Bengals agree to terms with S Wilson

05/10/2010 - Cincinnati, OH (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Cincinnati Bengals came to terms with veteran safety Gibril Wilson on Monday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We're excited to have Gibril join our secondary group," said Bengals defensive backs coach Kevin Coyle. "He's a veteran who has played at a high level in the NFL and he brings us a lot of tools. He can play both safety positions, and he will compete for time and make our group better."

The seventh-year pro started 14 of his 16 games played with Miami in 2009 and finished the year with one sack, eight passes defensed and 91 tackles.

Wilson was taken in the fifth round of the 2004 draft out of Tennessee by the Giants and played with New York for four seasons before moving on to Oakland in 2008.

For his career, the 28-year-old has compiled 13 interceptions, 31 passes defensed, 8 1/2 sacks and 602 tackles in 84 games (80 starts).
